After the first day at Kristiansund at Eigunn's flat, we went out to her parents island and borrowed the car to do some exploring.
The countryside in Norway is so pretty. This was the late fall, and things were still very green.
The building styles were of interest to me.
We stopped at a small park where historic WW2 equipment still remains.
I was amazed at how many islands there were.
An old WW2 era spotlight.
Old bunker.
The gun placement on the point. Germany would have flown in from this direction.
More islands.
Me and Eigunn with my arm used as a tripod. The picture came out really well.
An old church.
The farmers were all busy bundling hay into these large white bales for the winter.
You don't see bridges like this in the US. It is a thing of beauty!
I was told that this road is really fun when there are strong storms.
A rest stop.
Fishing paradise.
This roadway is a scenic route and the bridge is famous.
Waiting for the ferry to arrive. Almost everywhere you go in this part of Norway required a ferry ride.
